The Organizing Committee and the CEMA Board have postponed the CEMA2020 conference until 2021 in response to concerns about COVID-19.
The health and safety of our attendees is our number one concern. We plan to hold the CEMA2020 conference next year, on June 17-18, 2021 in the same venue at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Forthcoming CEMA conferences will shift forward by one year and therefore the updated schedule is Madrid 2021, Chicago 2022, Budapest 2023, and Boston 2024.
If the circumstances next year prevent the Madrid 2021 conference to proceed as planned, we will hold an online conference.
We inform the persons who have sent papers to the conference that we keep the conference open in EasyChair. Therefore, authors may update their papers as they see fit. Alternatively, authors can withdraw their papers.
We will open a new period for additional submissions through EasyChair between December 1, 2020, thru February 27, 2021.
We have been working with our registration partner to design and develop a simple, online method to process refunds so that everyone who wants a registration refund will get one. We thank you for your patience as we work through implementing the process.
We will not refund hotel costs or individual airline ticket costs. Please contact your airline directly regarding ticket cancellations. If you purchased travel insurance, please contact your provider for information and the next steps.
Please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
The new submission period for the Special Issue of Energy Economics is March 1 – July 1, 2021.
The CEMA Annual Meeting 2020-2021 follows an established series of CEMA Annual Meetings. The CEMA Annual Meeting is a benchmark academic conference, gathering researchers and practitioners engaged in the study or application of economics, finance, mathematics, operations, and risk management in commodity and energy markets.
